Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but humans rarely care about the needs of it.
As the time passes by you will
notice how our nature will drastically change. The Environmental issues become
worse and worse every single day. Humans are too selfish when it comes to the
environment. Trash here, wastes there, garbage everywhere.
There are only a few parts in our
planet that are waste free. Are you even aware that millions of plastics are
used every minute and it takes 500 years for it to degrade? Each year, BILLIONS
of plastics are dumped in landfills and sometimes in the ocean. We will not get
out of this issue if people are too hard headed in getting rid of their wastes.
Zero Waste Management was then
implemented. Zero waste management simply means reducing the wastes in a
community. The goal to this is to eliminate all discharges to land, water or
air that are a threat to human, animal, and our planet’s health.
Nowadays, Zero Waste Management must be in demand. Planet
Earth is nearly dying and only us, Humans can make things right.
Zero Waste Management reduces
climate impact, minimizes pollution, promotes social equity, creates jobs, and
it can also create an environmental business. Zero Waste does not only help our
environment, it can also be a big help in our economy. For every job created
within the waste diversion industry, one additional job is created
elsewhere in the labor market.
There are many things that you
can do, like practicing the 5 R’s; Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Root. Other
than those you can also start lessening use of plastics and use paper or
reusable materials. Be contented with what you have, avoid shopping unnecessary
things. Turn off appliances when not in use. Try to walk if the place that you
are going is a walking distance. And
practice conserving water.
