Many things happen that we never
expected to happen. Earthquake, a natural disaster that is unpredictable.
Earthquakes may lead to landslides, tsunamis, liquefaction, fires etc. that
leads you to sudden death. This is why the NSED is important.
We all know the meaning of an earthquake
drill. But for those who still don’t know about it, earthquake drill is an act
of preparedness in times of earthquakes. By this, people can be educated on how
or what are the do’s and don’ts when a real earthquake happens. This also tests
how people can be very ready when this occurs.

According to my research, NSED (National
Simultaneous Earthquake Drill) is headed by NDRRMC (National Disaster Risk Reduction
and Management Council). And it was said that since Philippines is inside the
Pacific Ring of Fire it is very crucial that we need to know the proper ways of
dealing with an earthquake. Moreover, in my understanding, its purpose is to
show or demonstrate to the community on how to act during an earthquake.
All in all, having knowledge about
this prevents you from making mistakes in experiencing the worse. Think of it, that
every move you make could either end or save your life.

I agree that every move we do is a matter of life and death in such disasters. I also strongly agree that knowledge about disasters and drills regarding it is significant into striving for a longer life.
